    Strutting his stuff - Revisited!

Back in May I posted this photograph taken in Venice and it was suggested by Colin and others that I delete some of the distracting background. At the time I didn't have the software to do this but now using CS6 I have attempted to do what was suggested. As a first attempt at this sort of editing I'm quite pleased with the results, and it does improve the shot. Posted a before and after for comparison.

The background is certainly an improvement but I prefer the colour balance and saturation of the original. I don't have any experience of CS6 but for cloning and healing my main software, after pp in LR4.2 is Snapheal which is so easy to use and doesn't affect colour balance of saturation in any way. Unfortunately I think it's only available for Mac, but at £6.99 if it becomes available for Windows it's a steal.

The second image is IMHO much better than the original, yuo have done a good job.

I loved the first incarnation, but this is considerably better without the distractions. It seems to have lost a little vibrance though.

Less distractions on #2 is great work, but like the other, I liked the colors on the #1 better and #2 seems a bit dull as colors aren't as saturated as #1

Thank you all for your comments. I'll take a look at the colour balance and see what I can do. Guess its changing software and computer since the original was processed and while I thought it looked ok it did look pale when I found the first one!

Looks better with out the background people and distractions agree about the colour/vibrance, but its a learning process.

Must have done something to my Flickr image as its gone missing! However I have made some adjustments as suggested to the colour which has improved it I think.
