Nice shot Stan, if the owl was any lower it would be well camouflaged in front of that bush.

Another cracking shot Stan,my only critique is the green on the left is a bit distracting, wondering if it would look better toned down..

Tawny's are one of my favourites and this doesn't disappoint.

I might be tempted to crop it portrait, just to lose the green blob.

          Re: Tawny Owl

The green blob is an oof tree in the distance and i should have perhaps sorted it - so here are two alternatives

A bit of cloning and desaturation and retaining the landscape format

or as Colin suggests, a crop to portrait

Both brilliant, you can see how easy it is for the owl to blend in with the background.

Beautiful bird, prefer the portrait crop I think, just because of the stump it's on sort of lends itself to it (if that makes sense)

                    Thanks all

The shots of this owl I had previously processed were all portrait format so i wanted to do a few landscape as well so i think this one works both ways

Lovely shot Stan. I like the portrait crop personally, but it certainly works either way.

You know, you look at owls and think how is that camouflage. But it works where it's supposed to work.
