Thanks guys. I haven been experimenting with the processing on number one. I might post some options tomorrow. Too tired tonight!

Thanks for looking. I was torn whether to wait for the woman and pram to leave, or to take the photograph anyway, because I have a sense of wistfulness - but that may just be me!!!

A couple of other versions of No.1:

First an HDR (gasps of horror!!!) version:

                And then a B&W version:

                Any comments???

Re: Dublin Canal in the centre of the City

Richard the HDR is very well done and no outlandish colours.
However, I think your sensor may need a clean as it looks like a couple of spots in the clouds on the right hand third line in the HDR as well as the B&W.
Ignoring the "spots" both are great treatments as is the first one of the first series.

Thanks for your comments David and Tom. I think the spots are BIF! Photographing seagulls from half a mile at 24mm probably doesn't work and looks like a spot on the sensor! That is why there are three spots on the HDR - the bird moved in the short interval between exposures. I will have to find a way of removing the birds and simultaneously acquire a 100-400 to take BIFs properly!

                      Best
