    Re: Yongnuo 568EX Canon Review

Now I have a second Yongnuo 568 EX I thought I'd repeat my coverage assessment, this time comparing the two YN 568's and the Canon 600 EX-RT.

What is interesting is that the new 568 seems to be very slightly down on power compared to both the original 568 and the 600, and there appears to be an increased difference (originally estimated at around 1/3 stop) between the original 568 and the 600 after a few thousand flashes from both 'guns.

There's a definite, but subtle colour shift between the 600 and 568, with the 568's being slightly warmer in tone.

The lower output of both the 568's manifests itself quite obviously in the E-TTL images with the Wide-angle diffuser in place, and practically I've been dialling-in around 2/3 stop positive FEC when using the 568's in the real world.

The 568's both exhibit a squarer coverage than the eye-shape of the 600, and seem to waste light around the central coverage zone, i.e they're less focussed or concentrated at the same zoom-setting which is probably where the apparent loss of brightness originates.

    All images taken at 12mm f/8 1/250th ISO200.
