Another visit to the Lake District

Jill and I have just had a long weekend away in the Lake District (again), it was Jill's birthday present.

Ullswater seen from Gowbarrow Fell (I think I've got that right).

A real nice series Andy. Images 3 & 4 top the list for me with the color & lighting. Nice and moody.

I think that I might have cloned out the gradient sign on Kirkstone Pass. It draws the eye too much

Nice series Andy, especially #2. I see what Sarawak means about #3 though.

You are lucky to be within a reasonable distance of such spectacular scenery. Still in a couple of weeks we're off to Derbyshire for a few days, I might get a chance to walk a little around Dovedale & the like.

What can I say. Touch of HDR in some?? Like the Crepuscular rays (#4). I can tell how cold it was from your wife's stance!!

You shown good walking country to good effect ... thanks for sharing.

Thanks again folks. I did think about removing the gradient sign, but then thought maybe it added a little, rather than subtracted something. I was likely mistaken this time.

They are all nice compositions do like the skies on the images 4 and 5. We,ve not really had proper rain for 2 weeks now, up here in the lakes now getting blue skies on the tops and mists in the valleys.
