You might be a victim of Text Enhance. This affects individual computers - not websites or forums.

Information about Text Enhance and how to remove it is given here:
Text Enhance (Text-Enhance) is cross-browser adware and an advertising platform that uses multiple programs, browser extensions, and files to attach to internet browsers and gather personal data without user consent. Text Enhance is used by multiple third-parties in order to monetize freeware and other programs. This adware serves pop-up and targeted advertisements it feels users are most likely to click on across Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer based off of the information it gathers.

OK, I'll try and post this picture of an Otter playing an invisible piano...

      but did it work?

Well, preview post shows the picture, so here goes for the actual post!

BTW, I have no words in this thread highlighted on my PC.

Yep, that worked but it was only 1 picture, so my next reply will have 3 pictures!

Alan, I've had something similar in the past on my pc, it was some sort of browser extension. Just a thought, but try using a different web browser and see if you still have the same issue.

I stated above my next reply will have 3 pictures, but I get 503. I cleared cache, but still 503.
          Even text only gets 503!

It would be good if you could provide more information. Were you trying to link from an image sharing site such as flickr? Have you tried uploading images from your computer using the 'Insert Image' icon on the toolbar?

Looks like you are right Robert I've had a look and its a bit gobbledygook to me but I will try to sort this first before posting.
                Many thanks.

                  Re: 503 error feedback

Found a programme called browse to save in my list as (browse to save) was appearing in the adverts,in small writing.
Removing this seems to have sorted it.
                  Thanks Robert.

Thought I would add an old pic via Flickr that I have posted previously via photobucket.

                    Good point!

Firefox, Win 7 Pro, 32 bit. Posted 1 image from Flickr using bbcode @ 800 widest (Otter shot above). Previewed OK in 'Go Advanced', and then posted OK, straight away.
Attempted to post 3 pictures, same method, but got 503 error. Tried with 2, then 1 image, 503.
Tried updating my previous post with text only, still got 503.
Cleared cache and tried text again, still 503.
Waited several minutes, new reply, text only, worked!

                        Re: 503 error feedback

Robert I have again been hit with the 503 error.

I have tried loading images via Flickr and by uploading the files directly from my PC via the manage attachments utility within the EOS site but I get 503 each time.

The posting of the new thread has been attempted via 2 PCs one running Vista, the other running Windows 7 Professional 64bit and attempted via IE9 and Firefox 19.02 the cache was cleared and the PC's restarted to clear any spurious files / memory / cache etc.

Just posted in specialist subjects - first off trying to include 2 images i got 503, so i removed one and tried again and posted OK. I then edited and saved 4 further times to add each of 4 further images without problem

Just to let you know Robert, just got 503's a few times. Used Stans method (above post, #28) and that worked fine. I am using flickr, showing farm9. Don't know what that actually means, but have seen it on previous posts! Hope that helps

Having had non-stop 503's about 4 weeks ago, touching a huge piece of wood, I have not had any since then!
