    New toy

Well I've recently taken delivery of a 100mm 2.8 L macro lens and I must say I love it. This is my first attempt with it.
EOS40d, 100mm macro, f11 at 1/10 shutter speed, natural light. Some slight post processing in lightroom.

A super lens which I have been using for most of my splash shots - a good shot with the variety of different colours and shapes but an odd combination of fruit and veg

Thanks Stan. I gave no thought to the fruit/veg combo, I just grabbed what was at hand to try the lens. It is odd tho, I agree

A very good demonstration of texture and colour reproduction. Very nicely exposed too!

        Garlic ginger banana anyone? lol

        Enjoy the new lens! Mike.

Happy new toy. I have the older non L version and it is faultless. The L is even better.

A great selection of texture and colour, not so sure on the food combination though.

            Enjoy your new lens.

I wonder what a good chef could make with the selection here, could be interesting.
I have that lens its one of my favourites, I'm sure you will enjoy the fruits of using it 👍
