    More from the 100mm macro

Further practice with my new lens. Both shots are lit naturally, something personally I prefer for food photography, and some gentle post processing in lightroom.

ISO 400, f11 at 1/8 shutter, hand held.

ISO 100, f9 at 1 second. Tripod and remote cable trigger.

The lens is working well for you Rich nice natural lighting as well, I hope the second shot isn't the filling for the sandwiches you were making with the bread in the first shot.

I like the loaf, Rich, but think that at 1/8 you've pushed it a bit too far for hand held and the sharpness has suffered as a consequence. Still looks good enough to eat though!

Now that looks nice bread and the beginnings of a curry?

Thanks for the comments guys. I take the point about the handheld at 1/8th, I should have run upstairs to get the tripod really. And it was a Chilli I was cooking.
