    Flickr Pool

Am I alone in thinking that all the anonymous submissions from Flickr somehow detract from the EOS Forums experience. I always enjoyed following threads from regular contributors or fucussing on specific items of interest. Now all I seem to get is countless links to photos with little or no information or personality behind them. Or am I missing some hidden benefits?

Happy new year to one and all (even the anonymous ones!)

      Re: Flickr Pool

Me too. I have given up opening any threads that come from the Flickr pool they make looking at the photos a poor experience as they thumbnails open a Flickr page and then the photos aren't large enough to appreciate.

I can understand wanting to limit the storage requirements for photos on the forum BUT Flickr is not the way to do it IMHO.

        Re: Flickr Pool

The problem for me is that it appears that we have reduced EOS Forums to be a Flickr satellite site. Few of the submissions have any information or appear to be looking for feedback and advice, which to me was always the big appeal of this forum. Now we appear to be heading in the direction of being a photo display site linked to Flickr. For me I would be as well forgetting EOS Forums and going direct to Flickr.

Thanks for your feedback. I have disabled the feed from Flickr to the Forum for the time being.

The Flickr pool remains active at:
The official Flickr group for EOS magazine, a quarterly publication produced in the UK dedicated to all things EOS. Official EOS magazine website EOS magazine forum
