    A very nice capture, I went in search of one of these elusive birds at Blashford Lakes earlier in the year.

        I saw one on Ivy Lake a couple of years back and apparently one was heard around Rockford Lake yesterday

          There's been a number of Great Egrets in the UK over the last few years... we bagged one at Minsmere, and there were sightings at Dungeness as well...
          I actively encourage constructive comment & critique of any image I post!
          Feel free to edit & re-post as you see fit - but please - tell me what you have done to 'improve' the shot!

            Plenty at Cley in Norfolk,plus Spoonbills,we even have a few at Montrose Basin in Scotland this year.
            Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way

              There are two on the RSPB's Dee estuary reserve, Wirral.
              EOS600D, 17-40mm L, 70-300mm IS, 50mm f1.8, 18-135mm STM, Powershot S95, 12 extension tube, Speedlight 380 EX.

                    ahhhhh my eyes - we need to find the person that started HDR - take him outside and beat the life out of him / resuscitate him and then do it all over again.

                    Sorry, would have been a stunning shot but that processing has ruined it 'full stop'
