    Home Made Flash Trigger Stands

Here are some trigger stands I made for my new 603s. I only have a flash stand for my new YN568EX, my other flashes don't have stands. So, rather than spending 20 or 30 quid on stands or adaptors, I thought I would make some!

I like the itea as it means that you can make stands for specialist areas - perhaps mounds for the outside of a hide etc...

Thanks all for the kind comments. Necessity is the mother of invention I guess! Having a well stocked workshop helps.

              Thanks again,

Quite like them. The simple solution is often the best.

Re: Home Made Flash Trigger Stands

Out of interest, is there any reason why you don't just use the flash stand that comes with the flash? I use that with my flash triggers, and it all sits together quite comfortably wherever I put it!

Good innovation though, sometimes just a simple solution is required!

Hey, Mike. Only my new 568 has a stand, which does work well. But my assortment of other flashes don't have any stands, hence the need for these!
                    Thanks for looking,

Re: Home Made Flash Trigger Stands

I don't want to knock anyones ingenuity, but I bought a few of these for next to nothing. Took a couple of weeks to arrive from China, but I wasn't in a hurry.

When they did arrive, I compared them to my existing Canon ones and they could have come from the same mould. In one respect they were better than the Canon ones in that the copies had a metal tripod thread insert, rather than the plastic Canon one.

Nice, but free is better! It may well be that these turn out to be rubbish, but for now, job done!

                            Hi Digiman.

Thanks for the update! I didn't realise that some flashes do not come with a stand... all the ones I have bought have stands!

In respect to the date yesterday, I'll just say... 'You have done well, young Digiman. The flash is strong in you!'

                            Cheers, Mike
