    Rusty the Studebaker

So, after work today & while the wife was at work, I headed back down to where I saw that rusting old truck to try and get a closer look. Found out that it was an old Studebaker and Yes there was this ugly old yellow pale at the front. Thought about moving it, but really didn't want to too close and get the owner of the property mad. So I left the pale in place.

Here are the BW version I worked on:

    EOS-M w/EF-22mm F/2 STM on a Tripod
    3 image HDR 1/2500 sec, 1/640 sec & 1/160 sec @ f/3.5, ISO 100

Processed in LR, Nik HDR Pro 2 & Silver Efex Pro 2

If you would like to see the color versions head over to my blog.

    Nicely done Tom.

      Hi Tom,

I like 'em! The second one is the better one, I think. I like that little bit of colour. Good shot

I like these Tom, a real good gritty picture and I like the treatment you have given them.

I also think the Bucket at the front adds to the scene of decay.

The bucket in the B & W adds to the abandoned atmosphere, though not so much in the colour. Anyone else notice the Woodpecker on the tree behind the Truck in the colour version, yeah I know its not

Well worth the visit back. Like the second with the touch of colour. Have you considered in the colour version just selecting the yellow bucket and doing a reverse pop and decreasing its colour so it doesn't stand out as much?

That said I have to say that it does lend to the general air of neglect..

Thanks Ian & Dee for stopping by and leaving a comment. Also thanks Di for the suggestion. I'll try that in the color version and repost it here.

Hi Tom, nice pics, like the processing.

I found the following old vehicle near the site of an American airbase in the north of Scotland, so far I have not been able to ID it, is it one you recognise?

The roof was not originally that shape ; )
