    EOS 3 AF sensor problem

The EOS 3 has 45 AF sensors of which 7 are cross type (dependent on max aperture lens used). I've noticed that with my EF50 f/1.8 fitted, only the top sensor of the group of 7 is working as a cross type. All the others work fine as vertical sensors i.e. locking onto horizontal lines. Has anyone come across this problem before and is there an easy fix?

    Thanks.

No easy fix that I am aware of. A Canon repair centre is the only option for a full repair.

I had similar problems with my EOS 1DN, but evaluating the cost of repair against the value of the camera, against how much I used a film body resulted in a scrapped body.
