I have been OK for a couple of days but its started again just now and also getting the stupid stay on or leave the page message !!!!

It is extremely frustrating and as said before 503's do not happen on any other forum i use

Please. please Robert get it sorted

When posting over the weekend 503 returned for me for the first time in ages. I found that I couldn't even post a link to a Flickr image, but removing the "http://" from the front of the link (so it just started "www.....") worked fine. I'm not sure whether that information will be helpful Robert?

www.flickr.com/photos/s_j_p/10908419683/ This worked

http://www.flickr.com/photos/s_j_p/10908419683/ This gave a 503 error (but is working fine again today)

I tried many times to post pictures yesterday but gave up in the end. I started looking for other forums now which is a shame as this is a great site but its no good if its so hit and miss with regards to posting links.

That does allow you to post a link to a picture but I cannot find a way to embed the picture in the thread. Have you found a workaround for that?

If so, you will need to deselect "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" and see if that works.

I thought the workaround method was to post your text first - then edit post and add the image file.
We shouldn't have to do this but it works everytime

Thanks. I tried that yesterday and it wouldn't work but it just worked now. It's just so random

I just tried a new thread with some text, then went back to edit and added the flickr bbcode and its back to the server unavailable message. Can't cope with it much more now as I'm wasting too much time just trying to upload a pic
