    A jetty on Windermere

After leaving it a little too late to catch the good light in Langdale, my eldest son, Peter and I headed back via Ambleside. We noticed this scene while waiting for the traffic lights to turn green, but I drove through anyway. Peter convinced me to turn round and take some photos, I'm glad we did.

It was dark at the time, but a long exposure helped pull in the detail. One annoyance though, was the group of people on a rowing boat, wearing blue and white lights on their heads. They caused a bit of a wake and the yachts moved as they passed by them. I managed to remove the rowing boat and lights from the photo.
