    The Bench and The Path

    Now for something completely different.
I was trying (and failing) to capture the transition from Autumn to Winter and came up with this.

Looks like you've had a dusting of snow or at least frost.

Path leads you in. Do like the light.

        Thanks Folks

There was a light dusting today Di
The temperatures never rose much at all so the snow didn't shift

          Hi Sam,
That empty bench, the falling leaves, the fading light, the frost on the ground - this picture is trying to tell us something but it is up to the viewer to guess what that is. I think this photograph and its subsequent processing has been expertly handled . Well done - a great try at visual story telling.

Good shot Mike. We had a wee bit more than a dusting down here this morning, or last night, then it froze over.

Mike, I don't think you failed at all. It's a lovely shot with great lighting and excellent composition. The transition you were after is there for us to see.
