    first a 503 now a PHP

Whats happening here I gave up posting for a while due to the 503 and tonight I decided to post an image and tried to edit in some shooting info but it does nothing but freeze with a yellow box showing at the bottom wanting me to open or save a php file whatever that is.

This is more than likely a rant just out of pure frustration,i just hope I don't decide to give up altogether.

PHP is weird. Have had some success with posting some text first and then edit post and add image.

I've had this quite a bit now with images and web links, very frustrating.

Had to use TapTalk to link to some Flickr images, getting PHP issue trying via website.
            Very frustrating.

I've experienced the PHP issue on two occasions 4th and 16th of April.

                Re: first a 503 now a PHP

Use to get both the 503 and PHP when posting links to Flickr. Its probably just coincidence but since the change of getting code on Flickr site I've not had an issue at all.

Might just have jinxed by next attempt by saying that!

                  Re: first a 503 now a PHP

First for me - just put one post up with no problems, second one just downloads a .php file (which opens up in i.e.

                  "OK

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later
                  .)

Think Mr Scott needs to have words with his server people as this is the only site / forum I use that has any of these types of issues on a regular basis 503 as well

                    Re: first a 503 now a PHP

I've had the php error. If you get it, highlight and copy (CTRL/C) the text you have entered and cancel the post by making a fresh entry in the forum section. Paste in the code in the new entry. The title you typed in should still be there in the history as you start typing (at least it is using Firefox). Mine works on the second go. It is annoying though.

Tried several different ways inc all the usual clear history / cache open in a new window ans so on and so on and still get it (only when trying to post with images - and no, I don't use flickr)

                      getting a little annoying now

                        Re: first a 503 now a PHP

David, try posting your text only. Then after posting the text go back and edit the posting and insert the image.
A bit long winded but it does seem to work. Shouldn't need to be done but.........

I thought all was going too well, no 503 for ages and able to post a new thread with both text and pictures at the same time with no problem but.....just been hit by the PHP and cant get past it even using the trick of posting text, then edit before adding pictures

                          hope it sorts itself later
