Well done... It's been many a long year since I've seen a Bullfinch in my garden! We struggle here with songbirds now...

As for the iamge; it's a tad flat & soft. Could do with a Levels tweak & some compensating colour-saturation, and maybe a tweak of UnSharpMask! Had a quick play, and you can make it 'pop' quite easily...
I actively encourage constructive comment & critique of any image I post!
Feel free to edit & re-post as you see fit - but please - tell me what you have done to 'improve' the shot!

Thanks, I appreciate the comments. I know what you mean about it being a bit flat. Im just beggining on this so room to learn! Im trying out Photoshop for my mac before buying. I get the colour saturation thing but Im struggling with the levels thing. Much to learn I guess

For Mac, press Cmd + L and this will bring up the levels histogram.

There are three sliders, Left, Middle and Right. Without going into too much detail at this stage, you may notice "free" areas on the left and right on the histogram. Click and hold the left hand slider and drag it along to the right to just where the free area ends - the overall scene will now have gone darker. Now click and hold the right slider and drag it along to the left to where the free area ends. The overall scene will lighten a little. Click the preview button on and off to see what you have achieved. Click OK if you are happy with the result, fine tune with the sliders if you are not.

Left hand slider for blacks, right hand slider for whites, middle slider for greys. Middle slider is the Gamut slider and controls exposure, you generally don't need to touch this one, but if you do, just a little.

        Does that help?

Think I saw one of these in my garden this morning. Certainly different to the usual Sparrows and Tits that I get. The adjustments have certainly made a difference, it looks good.
