    Re: Gloucester Docks - Tall Ships and HDR attempt

    And a redo without the concrete on the bottom.

    I like to keep my photos where possible in the same ratio, so if I was to cut the bottom off, it would have brought the sides in too much and cut the ship slightly. I tried spot healing and cloning on the water, but it then made the reflection look odd and out of place where the cloning was, so I experimented and ended up selecting all the water with the magic wand, then expanding that selection downwards so it stretched over the concrete and covered it up. Im hoping then that the reflection still looks normal to the ship.

    Thanks all for looking and comments, Ive learnt quite a bit from fiddling around with these.

          Hi Andy; that's hideous but a prime example of how individual all images are! Although the tutorials give a great understanding of how things work, inevitably the slider settings are typically only good for that single image; the next will have a wholly different set... I'm sure you'll hav learnt a lot from that exercise...
          Cheers;

            I agree its hideous :) im part way through another one as the plan was to post them both - one following it word for word and then one with my adjustables. unfortunately something called work is getting in the way of my time LOL
