    Thames Barge

Sailing past Walton Naze on the Essex coast.
Cloud and sunshine that day, and for this shot the barge was in the shade - you can see the edge of the shade more or less as a straight line in front of the barge - but the closer sea was in full sun. This took the detail from the barge giving a silhouette effect that I quite liked.

    7D + 24-105L.

    Cheers, Chris.
    Just chuggin' along.

                          Lovely picture.

And though my barge spotters badge is well out of date (I left the sailing barge May in 1998) I think that you will find that it is either the Thallata or the Hydrogen. Have a google, you may be able to tell us!

                          All the best!

                              For Epirb -
Don't know if this was the Thalatta or the Hydrogen. Looked them up but can't see anything in the profiles that would support one against the other.
However, recently was walking past a cliff-top house in Holland-on-Sea south of where I saw this barge months ago and came across this old wood forming part of the front garden -
