    Stevie Ray Vaughan

Something a bit different and I confess not from an EOS camera as I don't think they existed at the time. I noticed a Rock Concert photography group on 500px and so I attempted a bit of a clean up of this scanned image that I took on SRV's 1988 UK tour. This would turn out that would be his last UK tour.

The camera was a Canon T80 with something like an FD70-210mm lens and ISO 800 film. Oh and my left arm was in a sling as I was recovering from a broken collar bone - the result of not noticing a pot hole as I cycled to work.

Over the years I've seen many of the best rock musicians but without doubt this is the best guitar player I have ever seen.

    Regards
    Scott

Nice evocative image Scott of a brilliant guitarist, never saw him but have a few of his albums and hes up there with Hendrix as one of my favourite guitarists

        Thanks Tom & Gordon.

I was lucky enough to see him twice. The first time was in 86 at the Hammersmith Palais and I just couldn't believe the power of his playing. I learned later on that it was after that gig he checked into rehab. His brother Jimmie Lee Vaughan is a fantastic guitar player as well although not as flamboyant as Stevie.

Scott, another huge SRV fan here, so very jealous as I never saw him live. Nice shot, to catch him in full flow. Tho that suit couldn't have been worn at any time except the 80s!

            Thanks Alex.

Re the suit - it probably makes more sense in Texas than the UK. It was a short jacket which I think is called a Bolero? and of course sharp cowboy boots.
