    More from the studio

Because of annoying 'invalid code' error, I can only post one pic at a time.

I like this - the tighter crop at the top I don't mind. I do like the little rim light on the top of the left shoulder.

The shiny popper on the jacket just at the bottom of the frame is what i'd be tempted to fix in photoshop.

Great lighting colorful and sharp, as Ian and Brian have said framing could be a little better and that stud button just needs sorting and you have a real winner on your hands.

Thanks Ian. I know what you mean but the advice during the day was to have the eyes on the upper third when cropping, even if it means losing part of the head! I'm not convinced, wonder what other more experienced people think on this matter?

Thanks Brian and Paul. Typical as now you've pointed out the popper it sticks out like a sore thumb, didn't even see it myself.

                          Re: More from the studio

I really like this. The crop I don't mind, it is always a trade off trying to hit the top third on the eyes and keep pother parts of the image - I often struggle with it with head and shoulders shots, but the eyes are the most important part for me so it is bang on to get them right - and you have they are what draw the attention.

I did not notice the popper until it was pointed out, even then I don't find it too distracting.

I love the lighting and I am impressed with the IQ - from a 7D - that everyone complains about so much (same sensor as in my 600d I think - and I know it cna be hard to get good IQ)- I guess that proves that much of the quality is down to the lens.

I like the tones too and the processing

If I was to criticize anything (and this is just personal opinion) I think it would be the model - she is very pretty but her expression looks a tad bored and disinterested to me, not quite aloof enough to be enigmatic, and not engaged enough to communicate anything

But I think you did a great job - love it

Thanks for your comments Ian, much appreciated.

In her defence she was posing for 6 of us throughout the day and there are only so many smiles, pouts, looks and turns she can make.

I've not had the 7D that long and this was my first proper outing with it and using BBF for the first time too. Prior to this i had the 600D and I can see much better IQ but yes I'd say that's down to the L lenses I've treated myself to lately.

I did really enjoy the shoot and is something I want to focus on more now. That means more money on lights and stuff though, don't tell the wife!
