    Pass the food

This is a pair of wild Kestrels that have 6 babies and are currently using a nesting box within the grounds of the Hawk Conservacy Trust, Andover.

Here the Kestrel on the left had picked up a piece of food and landed on the branch. Then the other Kestrel grabbed the food and took it back to the nesting box.

    C&C welcome.

    Tech details:
    1D Mark IV
    f/5.6
    1/1600
    420mm - 300mm f/4 with 1.4 extender
    ISO 500

    Thanks for looking :)

    Hello Glenn

Nice to see you on here. The Kestrels do rather well on Ashley's dead tree don't they?

      Re: Pass the food

They do and the pair were out in force for both feeding sessions last Sunday :)

This is quite a heavy crop so I'm trying to decide how I can get a 500mm f/4 pass Collette without her noticing....

I don't have time at the moment but I will post a hello thread this evening.

You are very fortunate that she is a fellow photographer. Tell her she can use it now and again ............ if she can lift it!
