    Photoshop and Bridge

    Hi all,

I have Adobe Photoshop CS6, I noticed today that the quality of the image in Adobe RAW format editor seems a lot worse than when the image is opened in Photoshop. Has anyone else noticed this?

I've been editing the raw images and saving them in the raw editor too. Have I missed out on the quality of Photoshop?

    Cheers

    Rob

yep I use Lightroom for 80% of my editing plus the library and database is worth the money alone - PS only gets the tricky stuff and I can export straight to PS then click to save back - its a very good combination

Like Ian, my workflow starts in Lightroom before I go anywhere else

Same here. LR is great if you dig into the detail. As Ian said not just for editing but cataloging too.

So is it vastly different to Adobe Bridge that comes with Photoshop and is it better?

                  Re: Photoshop and Bridge

From what I gather the two are not really easily comparable in a few words on a forum. I have however found this for you that may be worth watching:

I use Lightroom and have not used Bridge so cannot really comment.

I would say theres very little difference between Adobe Bridge and processing Raw via LR - I do think LR is more user friendly and aimed towards someone that wants to be up and running quickly and personally I prefer LR as I've got Bridge

I hope thats kinda what Julieanne said as I've not watched the video

i used to use apeture 3 on the mac for most basic editing and then finish off in PS6 but these days i tend to just use aperture for storing the files and trial and error on crops ,then do the total edit in PS6 start to finish ,it does a better job as it well should
