    Need help

I haven't been on this forum for a longtime and when I try to login, I have to reset my password every time this is why I stay away, even I know it very well, but I still have to request a new password, so when I get a new password in my email box and use it, it still gives me the same message "Wrong Password" I have tried this 5 times today the 9th 2015.

    Now I am login Wow

I use my same password with another camera forum but I can login, but for my best camera Eos forum I have to request it 5 times every time.

Thank you for taking your time and reading this message.

    Not heard of that before

Perhaps consider starting over from scratch and registering with a new username and password

Can you tell us what browser you are using (IE, Chrome, Firefox etc.) and what "virus killer" are you using? Are you using someting like CCleaner to clear the cache and temporary files?

Sorry, not come across that, I use Safari, IE and TapTalk and generally after initial login I can go back in anytime without issue.Admittedly when I first started out the 'remain logged in' tick box was not so prominent but I Son realised my error.

Same as Ian mine is bookmarked and I have never had the issue you describe.

It does sound like your virus software is clearing the cache to me.

                Hi Michael,

I have checked your profile settings and everything seems fine.

As suggested by other forum members, it would be a good idea to register again with a different username and password. There is no need to delete your current details.

If the new registration works, let me know and I will compare the two set-ups to see if there is a difference.

I am running AVG virus killer and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and yes I use CClearner, btw I use (IE) that's it.

                    Hi Michael
I have the AVG, Malwarebytes CC Cleaner and have no issues using Firefox, could it be the settings in some of these thats clearing the cache automatically every few mins, I use CC Cleaner manually or when closing down so it does not interfere when online etc

                        Michael,

CCleaner will delete your cookies, so that is the one that is probably removing your login (assuming of course you have the Keep me Logged In box ticked).

                        To preserve your login:
                        1) Open CCleaner
                        2) Goto options
                        3) Click Cookies (Left of window)
                        4) in the Left hand panel click on Eos-Magazine-Forum.com
                        5) Click on the arrow -> to move it to the right hand panel

CCleaner will no longer remove your forum login when you run it (I run it daily automatically)

I afraid I don't know how to check if your stored password is correct in IE. I use Firefox. Perhaps another member can advise.

                          Re: Need help

I don't think this is anything to do with cache/cookie "cleaning", the fact that the password Michael is typing appears to be wrong rather than the fact that he needs to enter it at all, points to something else. All that cache/cookie cleaning will do is remove data already entered, it doesn't change data e.g. passwords
I have seen a situation on my own PC whereby characters of the password being typed are transposed e.g. password is "monday123", when typing it can get transposed to e.g. "y123monda". As passwords are normally "*" out when typing, it is difficult to check if the password you are THINK you are typing is ACTUALLY the password being entered.
There is an add-on for Firefox called "Show my password", which will reveal "*" characters. Check if the same add-on exists for I.E and then use it to see if what you THINK you are typing matches what is ACTUALLY being typed
