    Daniel

As it was half term, Dee took our youngest grandson, Daniel to the Oceanarium this morning followed by lunch at Pizza Hut and the plan was then to take some studio shots back home. He got bored after about 5 minutes so we only got a handful

2 lights left and right at 45 degrees with softbox and shoot through umberella. Manual mode, 1;160, f8, ISO 200

As Ian says not an easy thing to achieve, but these have a real natural feel to them.

A nice set Stan with nice lighting. There are two catchlights in each eye in the 1st image (this is a genuine question) is this okay or should there only be one I'm only asking as I am trying to get some portrait work and I once posted an image of one of my daughters there was two catchlights and it was mentioned.

They are all very nice images though

                        Hi Paul

there were two catchlights in each shot but I cloned one of them in the second two. They are caused I think by using the two lights one either side - with these shots the left light had the softbox and was at eye level, the other on the right had the umbrella and was a bit higher and pointing down slightly so that is probably why the second catchlight is smaller. I think that had I positioned that light much higher and just used it as a hair light then it may have eliminated the second catchlight altogether but I may then have got a shadow in the background from the left hand light
