    Glen Brittle, Skye

What a difference a day makes. The weather was so much better, no wind and the sun was almost warm. Have been meaning to have a look at a waterfall below Coire na Banachdich so with a few hours to spare....

Target in sight. The aim to cross the stream above the waterfall and descend on the other side of the gorge before the sun sunk below the hills behind me. I got a bit distracted on the way and only just got round in time for a couple of shots.

Worth going back to and finding better viewpoints.

I do like the first thats a lovely image using the valley to lead you in - and looking forward to seeing more of the waterfall when you get a better viewpoint

Its difficult to get the scale of the valley from the first shot, but it does lead you nicely into the photo. Seeing the shots of the waterfall makes you realise how big a drop it is.

It looks like a place to spend plenty of time exploring all the possibilities and changeable weather too no doubt.

Nice pictures thanks to upload them, it would even be better if there was trees and wildlife.

                Thanks for the comments.

The waterfall is known as Eas Mor (literally translates as Waterfall Big), must be over 100ft high and deserving of more visits in other seasons and lighting.
The gorge is well wooded as the sheep and deer avoid the steep sides so it will be nice and green in a few months. The autumn should be good too.
I'll have to try and follow the stream up into the gorge as it looks a very dodgy descent down the sides.

Love that first shot ( well, all of them to be honest ), it really does show off the beauty of that place. Really like the overall composition of the first one with just a nice amount of sky...Well taken !!

                    Thanks.

The first has not been cropped at all, one of few where I was happy as I shot it as I usually leave myself some room to adjust(or may be I'm just a bit lazy when on location).
