    Grand Canyon

It was very cold - it even snowed when we there and was VERY cloudy, but you have to cope with the hand you are dealt, so this was the best I could do:

All taken with my 5Diii plus my 70-200 - which for those of you who have not been there, just shows the dimensions of the place!

Many more from my trip to Arizona here: https://flic.kr/s/aHsk8bmz4b

            Re: Grand Canyon

All good but the first is a cracker Richard.

Spent an overnighter at North Rim back in the early 90s and walked down Bright Angel Trail - I had a T80 (& a gallon of water following the then recommended amount for 2) at the time and I remember thinking that the canyon is just so vast that you can't really comprehend it in one view.

            Cheers

Thanks for all the kind words. It is stunning and in some ways good to see it not in good weather, perversely!

I have been experimenting a bit with a 16:9 instead of 3:2 format anyway. What do you think? I am quite attached to the first because of the four layers of light from the very dark at the top to the very dark at the bottom through two lighter layers. But I am open to experimenting!

                    Thanks for looking
