    Kestrel Hover

    A couple of shots of the kestrel from the other week when he briefly took off and hovered before being chased away by a crow

        The skies are slightly different as the second shot was about 4 minutes later than the first - despite being chased by the crow, he did return just briefly

              I like them both, preferring the first one though, mainly because the tail looks better fanned out

                What I like about these is you record far more detail than you see with the eye with the bird is hovering against a bright sky. Well with my eyes anyway!

                    I like about these is you record far more detail than you see with the eye with the bird is hovering against a bright sky. Well with my eyes anyway!
                    having been shooting birds 90% of the time for the past 7 years you tend to get a feeling for the exposure settings needed in individual circumstances (well sometimes ), so couple that with the quality produced by the 7DII and the Sigma, you cant go too far wrong
