I few years ago before I let the voice creep into my head that the 7D was a bad camera, I used it for wildlife. Before I even joined this forum actually. I loved going to the RSPB Lochwhinnoch hides because it was nice and quiet.

Tamron 70-300 VC.
No L glass, no fancy super fast 1D camera that I have now, and to be honest it's not until today that I processed it the way I wanted to years ago, I just didn't know how to do it. Kind of leads me to think of why we bother going for the latest and greatest when it's just nice light and a close subject we need.
