Default Haven't seen these for years!!

Hens' eggs that have white shells......

All our British eggs seem now to be brown shelled. These were in a Norwegian supermarket - got a funny look from the staff as I was photographing their egg display......

    Cheers, Chris.

That's the color of our eggs at the Store. Agree with Ian on the crop

Thanks for the comments - I should have seen that and cropped as suggested.
Tom - all British eggs were white shelled when I was growing up, but for some reason brown-shelled ones were seen as in some way better (in the 60's?) and they have taken over entirely. Apparently there is no difference in nutritional value or taste. If you've never seen our browns I'll post a pic.
    Cheers, Chris.

Thats quite an eye opener to me. I haven't seen "white eggs" before and thanks for posting the picture. I personally appreciate when members, now and then, post, unusual pictures of subjects they come across.
