    Beam break trigger

Anybody built or use one? I've been working on a beam break timing system for my flyball racing and it occurred to me how easily it could be adapted to fire the shutter on the camera.

    Re: Beam break trigger

I built a "multi-trigger" using an Arduino Uno - it started off as a beam trigger and sort of grew legs.

    Now I mostly use TriggerTrap!

Another vote for Trigger Trap. Yours could probably be easily adapted but ensure that there is no electrical connectivity between the two, use an opto isolator.

Something I might just have a play with at some point, electrical isolation goes without saying. I assume that you allow for shutter lag in the equation when positioning?

I used an opto-isolator on the output and I've triggered both the camera and speedlites with my home-brew trigger.
