    Re: 760D or not?

I was thinking of weight. Decided on the STM version because it is only 5g heavier! My other 'holiday' lens is the Tamron 16-300mm. Thought I ought to look at the EXIF data to see how many times I actually zoom to 300 whilst on holiday!

You have the 18-135mm, you don't need the 18-55mm! The pancake lenses are a good idea. Very small and very light and being f/2.8,fairly fast as well.

Thanks. I did buy the 18-55mm lens in the end. The idea being that it would be really light to carry when visiting friends of an evening. Hope I have not wasted my money!

Don't use a shoulder bag is the simple answer - a large 2 strap bag is a lot easier. Or even a shopping trolley is a valid alternative

It's just that I carry my camera in a normal handbag whilst on holiday. In the guides for St Petersburg they warned that you would be stopped by police and asked to prove ID frequently if you used a backpack. We observed this happening several times.
I am actually loving the 100D, it is my grab and go camera now. My 60D and backpack full of L series lenses are for when I want to seriously concentrate on some specific type of photography.

Depending on what L lenses you have, I find the 17-40 makes a nice 'standard' zoom on the 100D .....
