    Badger

At the British Wildlife Centre. As mentioned in another thread it is unusual to see the badgers out when it is not feeding time later in the afternoon - this shot was taken at 1.30pm

        Re: Badger

When I was there they were busy foraging and very rarely raised their head so getting a decent shot was difficult.

        Great detail in this image.

I only managed about 3/4 shots where he was looking up. Well caught Stan. Nice detail around the eye.

Another decent shot. As a matter of interest how much time would you spend waiting for THE SHOT? I know that there is no exact time for these photos but on an average?

don't forget this is a captive animal so easier to get shots and of course being in a compound you can get quite close. This shot was only after a couple of minutes but for example waiting for the stoat to get in a decent position, quite a bit longer and the weasel....well I just gave up on him

Top shot, Stan, a classic pose from him. Obviously not camera shy.......................

Nor is the video shown today (in Daily Telegraph online) of badger scoffing bakewell tarts that he'd got from the fridge. When discovered he legged it through the cat flap !
