    Posting to flickr- help please!

OK I've got my flickr account up and running and have posted a couple of things on there, still getting sorted.

However cannot post to this forum from there, and this was my main reason for setting it up

There are instructions on this forum on how to do so dated 2010 and I believe things must have moved on since they seem completely inappropriate & I cannot find anything else, even in FAQ

Is there any kindly soul out there who can write some new instructions for me...........or direct me to where I might find them?

    I'll give it a bash

on the right theres 4 boxes, click the third one that has an arrow symbol

that will pull up a window display with4 text options - you need to click the BBCode and change the size to max 800 - copy that code and then paste that directly onto the thread

    done ;o)

    and you've just got a follower ;o)

What does a follower mean in flickr terms?

Re: Posting to flickr- help please!

A follower is someone that follows the images you post - it means when I either click on my flickr account, then click the flickr logo at the top left it shows me all the images people have recently posted up that I follow - if you look at your flickr account under your name it will say you have one follower ....me ;o)..

Should I click on the flickr.com ( rather than my flickr photostream )that will show me all images uploaded also by people I follow

You now got three followers bo BTW updating what Ian has said ,go to the upload box right click till the line changes to blue the press C to copy it ,you can also upload a 1024x 1024 shot easily to here .on Flickr you will also find groups .i.e landscape ,nature, wildlife, birds all sorts of categories you can add your photos to that will over time attract comments and favourites From other people .
I have made very many friends on Flickr and sharing the same interests they are usually good company ,in fact last week on holiday I met up with two different ones as they sent me messages they would also be at bempton ,one of them for the first time .

Re: Posting to flickr- help please!

Thanks for your help folks, I had a few emails from flickr detailing activity - comments and followers etc - so this came as a pleasant surprise.

Have to say the friendly folk around is all very encouraging for those of us shy of putting our heads above the parapet!
