I do like the third shot.

Quite difficult to keep the colours separated ? - when Dee was doing her bottle and glass shot, the food dye dissipated very very quickly - so whats the secret

A nice idea and very well executed, I like the third as it looks like a flower at the bottom amongst foilage..... or my tablets are kicking in

There must be someting added to the water to increase the viscosity so that the food colouring doesn' dissapate so quickly mabye something like gelatine

Thanks for the kind comments guys.

Stan, yep you need to be quick. My technique was to have the remote shutter release in one hand and bottle of food dye in the other. Put a drop in the water and start shooting, whilst I grabbed a second colour and put a drop of that into the glass and continue to shoot until it got too messy. Then; rinse, refill, repeat

2Beers, no additives it's just ordinary old tap water.

cheers - I thought you would have to be quick. Dee just bought 4 new bottles of food colouring to use for her still life at camera club next week - if there is any left I might give it a go

Stan I found it to be a great way to fill a gloomy afternoon when it was just too unpleasant to be outdoors I'll look forward to seeing your efforts.
