    slide copier

i don't know where else to put these so...
    canon A1 > ohnar slide copier > canon 100D

not all the slides i tried came out in focus and there doesn't appear to be a way to adjust focus. but it's a cheapish way of archiving your old slide images.

        Hi jpgrf,

what did you use as your light source with the Ohnar?

          hi john
i used indirect sunlight through a net curtain.
the camera and copier were tripod mounted and shot for about 4 to 6 seconds depending upon the slide.
it was connected directly to a laptop using the eos utility program. it's easier for me seeing the preview on a laptop screen rather than the camera screen.

btw there are two types of ohnar copier. if you are using a crop sensor camera you need the one that is able to zoom less than 1.

            Hi jpgrf,

            thanks for the additional information.

The copier I have is the full frame version (to go with my 5DIII).

you'll be ok then. i also used a wired remote control.
keep an eye out for dust on the slides, it's a pain having to go back and redo them because of it.
