    Fill in flash query

I'm using a 5DMKIII and Gemini (Calumet Canon dedicated flash) SP692c..and for fill in flash Im using Aperture priority....and the ISO/flash button by the LCD and command dial to set plus or minus output.....is this the best way, are there any better methods please?

just done a wedding with those settings and was pleased with the results - so I'd say yes - the only thing I kept an eye on was the distance and if I was standing further way increasing the power output on the flash

If you use flash in any of the semi automatic modes, Av, Tv or P, then the flash will act as fill in.

with most flash guns you can set FEC from the gun itself and I think I am right in saying that whatever is set on the gun will override anything you set in camera
