    Text Under Images

    Hello ,
I am a new member to the Forum and I wondered If any one knew the answer to my problem ?
I would like to find a Template (Photoshop maybe?) where I can place a image in the centre of the template with an option to write maybe 3-4 lines of text underneath . It is for a presentation so would need to be printed off and placed in a mount. Can any one suggest a photo editing service which I could use for this purpose ? Many Thanks.

You can easily do it yourself using either photoshop or elements. Using the former (probably similar in elements), open the image you wish to use and then increase the canvas size - image - canvas size, and in the box that appears, enter your new dimensions, making sure you keep the ratio to that which you want to print, and in the option for canvas extension colour, choose white

Now select the text tool and place the curser along the bottom of the extended canvas and type your text, When you have finished you can change the font, size and position etc before flattening and saving

Thanks Stan, Would a basic Photoshop or elements package do or do you need the most up to date ? Previously I have only used DPP for mi image enhancing. Many Thanks, Warwick 2010

You should be able to download a trial version of Photoshop from Adobe.com, it will probably be their Creative Cloud version or a standalone trial version of Elements. You could then try out Stan's suggestion.

You don't need the up to date versions. I now use photoshop C C but previously C S 3 and the same options were there

I'm probably missing the point but if you wanted a freebie way of doing it, and it is just for a presentation, why not just paste your image into a Word or PowerPoint document and add the text that way?

              Re: Text Under Images

We have just prepared a PowerPoint presentation with images passed as Alex suggests and it will be fine for digital projection but I don't think the printed quality would be up to scratch if the individual slides were printed which is what Warwick wants to do
