    Southern India

At the End of August / Start of September we were in Southern India at the invitation of some old friends , we started off at Bengaluru , headed south to Mysore , through the Bandipur National Park and Tiger Reserve and Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary & National Park up to the Hill Station at Ooty , returning the same way . Needless to say it was a brilliant experience and we got to visit my favourite Indian whisky distillery.....

Thanks for sharing,Gordon, on what must have been a magnificent trip of a lifetime.

I'd have wished for a bit more space around the Palace at Mysore.

A thumbs up for the distillery pic & its splendid copper (?) pots

Nice pictures Gordon. How did the whisky taste, and thats of importance to me?? I like #2 the best as it is like a typical Hindu temple. Any more pictures?

          Cheers Tom !

Yes they are Copper Stills lunarbo .

Nathaniel - I think Amrut is a superb whisky , it has more quality than a lot of Scotch at the moment (IMHO) , being made in India puts a lot of people off and Scotch fans can be quite snobby..... All the photos are up on my Blog and on my Flickr account there's also a link to my wifes photos (took with her Blackberry) at the end of the blog report (http://amrut-spiritofindia.net/category/india-trip/)
          Cheers

Gordon, really nice varied set. My favourite is the Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel panorama (albeit for me it would be better central), the curving road really adds to the sense of width. But I also really like the copper stills.
