Girl in the mosaic

I got bored so had a quick play with some images and came up with this. Made a border from an image of an old plank of wood, layered the mosaic over the studio portrait and did a quick bit of masking, total time spent playing 30 minutes.

Good skills, like this very much but (always a but) has the model got a bit of a halo and could it be the mask needs a little attention

Hi Alan,

Thanks for taking the time to look and comment, looking at the image on the forum it does look like there is a halo, it probably is down to me not spending the time on the masking, I will have a look tomorrow and see if I can remove it with a bit of the white brush on the mask.

Looks good on my mini iPad but then the image is not all that big. Anyhow, I like the idea and it is constructed well in terms of composition, content, theme etc. Well done you

Thanks for the feedback and comments they are apreciated. I have had another quick look at the image and believe that I have now removed the halo which was caused where I hadn't spent the time working on the mask.

Alan, thanks for the comments, the image may go into a club competition but I will probably also enter it into one of the many international salons as well

I haven't a clue how you have done it, Masks and Layers etc are completely Alien to me!! but the end result of the second shot is very nice
