    Splashes

    My first attempts at some splash art, I used Gavin Hoey's series of YouTube clips on splash photography as a reference, particularly like how he uses basic equipment to achieve his results.
    For these images, used a 5DS +24-70 F2.8, 2 flash guns, diffuser, fishing line and a wet kitchen floor.

    5D Mk III, 24-105 / 70-200 f2.8 L / 100-400 Mk II / 100 macro / 16-35 L / 11-24 L / 1.4 & 2x converters and a bad back carrying it all ;o)

      Very impressive. Not sure SWMBO would appreciate wet kitchen!

          I man after my own heart Les. I've been following Gavin for a good while now. Makes some great easy to understand videos.

          Two really excellent shots

          Shame you're so far away from him in Surrey. His workshops are a good day out that's for sure.

              I agree about Gavin's videos's, before I watched them I assumed (probably incorrectly) that you needed complicated & expensive gear for these kind of shots, and that it would be technically complex, Gavin shows quite emphatically that you don't and isn't. I had lots of fun trying different things, and spent nearly as much time cleaning the kitchen floor
