I was a 2nd shooter at a wedding yesterday and although i was given lenses to use by my friend i`m looking to get some of my own for future weddings, i currently own a canon 70-200 f4 L,canon 50mm F1.8, and sigma 105 F2.8 , the lighting was challenging so i would appreciate some advice on what i should but next my budget is approx £500.00 and my camera is a 70d

Re: Wedding lens
Given you have a good selection of lenses already my only suggestion would be something WA. With the light typically very poor it needs to be a fast one ideally but then the cost shoots up. I use a Sigma 10-20 F4-F5.6 and find it really excellent. There is a slightly faster F3.5 and within your budget
Hope that helps?Alan.

Re: Wedding lens
you have a good assortment of lens already you have any Speedlight's? for remote shooting as the pop up flash can act as a master?
or are you tiring to use natural lighting? the 85 1.8 canon is also a good lens to consider then when you have more gigs and your better established the canon 1.2l is a good choice and move your 70-200 to the is 2.8 mk2ti1 70D 5Dmk3 10-22 ef-s 50mm1.8 mk1 70-200 4 is l 400 5.6l 100mm macro is l 18-135 stm ef-s
1.4 tele mk3 now the 85 1.8 ef lens 16-35 4 is l 50 1.4 canon

Re: Wedding lens
I found little opportunity to keep swapping lenses and used only a 24-105 and 70-200 both f4L at the last one I did. I use full frame so the 24-105 option might be a bit long on a crop body....I suggest the 17-40 F4L (approx 24-70 equivalent)
A good speedlight I think is essential if you are going to be the official photographer. Hope that helps.Brian Vickers LRPS

you don't need a bag full of lenses as in most cases you can just use your feet and move backward and forwards ;o) - The lens Brian said is a good call and the 17-40 F4L will give you everything you need on a crop... A flash is a must especially if a sunny day or shadows to offer fill in:- Ian
