    Soap Patterns

Last year at camera club we had an evening looking at capturing soap patterns.
It was harder than expected and more than a little frustrating, but here are some of my images...

      Thanks very much.
I too am unsure of the first one, but was interested to see what others thought.

2 and 3 are very good but both are a bit light and bright. Think they would pop more if either darkened slightly or contrast added

I agree with Stan about making them a bit darker - otherwise I like them - very good.
          How were they done ?

Thanks thats good feedback on the brightness, I'll have a play around and see how I get on.

We did it by creating a soapy solution, can't remember the exact mix as my friend made it, but can find out if you wanted.
Then it was creating a loop or ring of sufficient size to dip into the mix and create a film, but like getting ready to blow bubbles.
Then its trying to get the images before the surface tension fails or the soap all dos to the edge.
It was good fun, but a messy!

Thanks for the info - I'll have a go on a rainy day ( which seems very likely considering the latest weather forecast)
                Cheers
