                    Ok, here is another version of the same image...

                    This one is from 5 images pulled together in Photomatix to try and pull a bit more detail in across the dynamic range.
                    Any thoughts or comments?
                    I may have over sharpened a tad if I am honest.

                      Good effort Andy, either over sharpened or alignment needs tweaking as it looks to be crumbling bottom left

                        Thanks Alan. I think it's a combination of being not quite a full moon so the craters are on the edge, maybe alignment and a bit of the sharpening.

                          Never easy to get detail in a full moon so you've done quite well to pull out as much as you have (try a half moon if you need or want more detail), It also must be a very big crop shooting at only 400mm.
