Canon 6d fault?

    Canon 6d fault?

    I`ve recently had my 6d say when i put my (5 month old) sandisk sd cards in it say card is locked so it can`t be used ,they have been returned to amazon and today i brought a new sandisk card from tesco and the camera has said the same thing has anyone any ideas please is this a camera issue

    daft question you have made sure the cards aren't locked ?

            Switch camera off, remove battery and leave for a couple of minutes, replace battery and try your cards again. If problem still exists then return the camera to Canon for fixing

              follow jims advice ,UNLESS you have inadvertently changed something in the menus i.e protect images etc easily done by accident

                maybe before following James advice also click to reset the camera to factory settings

                      Took battery out etc and now fine , thanks very much Jim ,is this a common thing to happen? MPB were sending a courier out monday to collect the camera better cancel them

                        These hiccups can happen on odd occasions - however, if it keeps recurring then the camera needs looking at.

                            Most cameras these days are mini computers ,,just sounds like a glitch to me

                              It`s done it again and has been returned to mpb , they have been able to replicate the problem but have sent it off to their repair centre
