I have a hahnel wireless trigger and when I plug it into my 6d and fit it to the hot shoe and place my 430ex iii into it the flash fires but not in sync with the shutter any thoughts?

Just a guess really, but are you using high speed sync with the trigger, can the flash do high speed?

No, i just set it up so when the flash fires the studio light fires on the sensor but the flash on the camera was firing too late

A wild guess, is the 430 recycling in time?

Just a thought, with third party triggers I always use a shutter speed 1/160 which is lower than the max sync speed for Canon
