    Christmas tree embers

I'm not entirely sure why I'm sharing these, but what the heck, I quite like them.
I light our fire only sporadically through the winter, which means it always takes a while to get through burning my old Christmas tree. But when I do, I like the twisting embers created by the pine needles. This year I've had a couple of goes at trying to capture these images, but not very successfully. These are a couple from the very last branches, so I know I won't be trying again until next year. But they sort of came out fairly interesting I thought.

Interesting concept, but they are dark and seems to lack detail,

Could be down to the heat haze - I quite like them - Marmite shots it would seem!

Patrick, Tom, Stan and John, thanks for stopping by. A small part of me was clearly hoping that these were actually masterpieces and I just couldn't see it. But perhaps not then...
