    The Great Falls of the Passaic River

    One of the United States' largest waterfalls, the Great Falls of the Passaic River is a prominent waterfall, 77 feet (23 m) high, on the Passaic River in the city of Paterson in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States. The falls it played a significant role in the early industrial development of New Jersey starting in the earliest days of the nation. The Falls and surrounding area are protected as part of the Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park, administered by the National Park Service. The Congress authorized its establishment in 2009.

    now thats spooky I've just been processing some waterfall pics, although no where near the size of yours !! they are wow !! ....

    I like the shots but in this case I don't think B&W works and would like to see them in colour

      Of the four #2 is the most arresting, but like Ian I'd love to see them in colour (sorry color)

        The first I like very much in mono. Yes the others would be nice to see in colour. A great set all the same Tom

          Yep agree with the other Brits above - super set but would like to see them in color or colour, whichever you prefer!

            Tom, that sure is a beautiful and impressive waterfall, so thanks for the background. All great images, I prefer the composition of no 2 the best with the waterfall framed by the bridge.

                    Tom, the first of your colour images is now my new favourite. Love the greens against the canyon walls and the the green trees providing a backdrop. I know your instinct is always for mono, but these work better in colour for me.

                            Not all images translate well to mono and these are all examples where colour is the way to go

                              Well this is where we will have to agree to disagree Stan. Adam Ansel was one of the best landscape photographers and all his work was in BW, even though the scenes would have been outstanding in color, does not distract from his work. With the removal of color allows for the viewer to interpreted the scene as their imagination desires.
