    LP-E6 Battery Recharge Performance

I hope someone can advise me on the Recharge Performance indicator in the Menu screen for battery performance on my 60D please?
There are three little squares and the first one on the left is red and the other two are black (blank?).
    What does this mean?
The battery is a genuine Canon LP-E6 that came with the camera when it was new.
Is this an indication that I am going to have a problem?

it means capacity is "slightly" degraded. It will gradually degrade from there. After a year my original pair of LP-E6 batteries dropped from 3 to 2 bars. A year later and they're still at two. I'm still getting roughly the same number of shots (or at least it hasn't changed enough to notice). I wouldn't sweat it.

You start off with 3 green squares which means top recharge performance which then drop off over time to 2 and then 1 square before becoming red.

As Ian says number of shots doesn't seem to be affected too much

            Re: LP-E6 Battery Recharge Performance

As an addition help, it's now accepted that regular charging when battery is at 40-50% will keep battweries in optimal condition.

After 1 red square and 2 blacks does the sequence continue, i.e. 2 red, 3 red, then dead?
